Drop research

Although the article does show that the box can contain some good items, do we have any statistics going? I assumed they might be on this page. On the whole it seems to be an non worthwhile karma sink hole. I bought one for curiousity's sake and it contained a taste of karma and 2 x unidentifiable junk. Puk 02:58, 7 March 2013 (UTC)

There are rough estimates of the statistics on this talk page. With a karma booster (+50%) activated and using the karma you get from the boxes, you seem to lose half your karma every time you open your boxes (800k karma spent will leave you with ~400k karma, buying new boxes will then get you 200k, etc.). You could see it as a sinkhole, but you could also see it as the only way to spend your karma and get some money out of it. You should not buy these boxes if you need Obsidian Shards or lodestones. But if you have enough obsidian shards for your future legendary, all the karma weapon skins you wanted and the karma armor from Orr and you feel like you have no use for your karma anymore, this is a great solution. The rewards from the box are still not great, but getting some lodestones and an exclusive mini is nice. Qiff 12:59, 7 March 2013 (UTC)

With a 104% karma boost you can almost completely counteract karma loss (all currently known karma boosts add to 95% + up to 9% in known account bonuses). You do have to make sure the boosts are working however before you start spamming. 174.57.188.164 03:58, 9 August 2013 (UTC)
