Talk:Light of Dwayna
Stats[edit]
Before I go through the trouble of crafting one of these at great expense, can anyone share what kind of stats this has? I know you can pick from the various stat combos, but an idea of the numbers would be helpful. (Usaf1a8xx (talk) 14:21, 12 December 2013 (UTC))
- Numbers are the same as any other ascended back item, see here. —Dr Ishmael 14:55, 12 December 2013 (UTC)
- The information has been moved since I posted the link. See here instead. —Dr Ishmael 04:39, 20 December 2013 (UTC)
What do you mean you can pick? Like when you craft it do you have to do anything to choose which stats? Might be nice to have an explination of the stats on the page itself. 107.192.40.150 15:00, 29 December 2013 (UTC)
- The tooltip will say "Double-click to select stats." When you do so, a window pops up with a dropdown menu where you can pick from a list of prefixes. This is the same way that Magic Find equipment worked after the update that removed MF from equipment. I haven't crafted this myself so I don't know what prefixes are available. —Dr Ishmael 15:29, 29 December 2013 (UTC)
Infuse?[edit]
Can you Infuse this Back item? Faux (talk) 07:48, 14 December 2013 (UTC)
- The item has a Defensive Infusion slot. (St Andrew.5183 (talk) 03:35, 18 February 2015 (UTC))
type: bag[edit]
Why is it labeled as bag, isn't it a back item?
- That's just the recipe type, which determines the category the recipe appears under in the crafting window - and that's probably because Anet didn't want to bother creating a new recipe type just for these 2 items. —Dr Ishmael 13:51, 27 December 2013 (UTC)
Removed Bug Not About Infusion (can't be confirmed)[edit]
I removed the following bug note from the article, as it cannot be confirmed:
- {{bug|The recipe for the infused version of the back item is bugged and will give There with Yakkington: A Traveler's Tale (Infused) instead.}}
In the same Reddit thread announcing the bug, the only person who tried to replicate the results...could not even see LoD in the Forge. There are two possibilities:
- The original poster used their Light of Dwayna to reskin a There With Yakkington back item and the used the infusion recipe (this would produce the reported results, except for the glitched icon).
- ANet removed the recipe from the Mystic Forge shortly after the post. (This would be consistent with the OP experiencing the bug and the final response seeing something different.)
Regardless, until it can be confirmed, I'm in favor of leaving it off the main article. (I double-checked the forums via Google, and I can't find any mention of someone else having the same experience.) – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 10:02, 7 February 2014 (UTC)
Crafting[edit]
Can the Lesser Vision Crystal be used to craft this back piece?
- Does the page say "Lesser Vision Crystal"? No, it says "Vision Crystal". —Dr Ishmael 15:37, 8 March 2014 (UTC)
Total base components - someone who cares about the wiki, can we add this?[edit]
For whosoever cares about cleanliness of the wiki, I think this woulda been useful when I decided to start crafting it. Can we add it? Thing is, it's kinda incomplete 'cause I dunno how to link TP prices where "Trading Post" is where it's bought from, except by using {Crafting infobox | id = #####} but that just leaves a mess. Other than that, I think it'd be pretty useful for future players.

Color?[edit]
Does anyone know what dye color matches the Light of Dwayna? Haven't found a perfect match, maybe because it's a color I do not have yet. Honeybutter Dye is the closest match I have. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by St Andrew.5183 (talk • contribs).
