Questions: Do you have to craft the entire set? Do the effects work if you aren't wearing the entire set?

You only have to craft the chest piece in order to get the effect (being the draw animation) Sythe 19:14, 30 July 2017 (UTC)

PvP armor recipes[edit]

Just a heads up that there are still recipes missing for PvP armor. --❄The F. Prince❄ (talk) 22:33, 15 March 2018 (UTC)

For WvW & PvP: Do we have to finish the respective reward tracks 18 times each to acquire the full sets of armor?[edit]

To be able to obtain all 18 pieces of legendary armor for both sets, do we have to complete the Triumphant Armor Reward Track 18 times and the Glorious Reward Track 18 times? --175.156.217.21 23:19, 26 March 2018 (UTC)

Even though the answer is late: yes, you have to finish the reward track 18 times to unlock all armor pieces for all weight classes. --Smiley™ de: user | talk 01:18, 11 December 2020 (UTC)

Clarification needed regarding the phrase "All of that requires either 33 repeats of the final Byzantium reward track"[edit]

Does it mean get:
6 Byzantium chests 33 times (198 total Byzantium chests) or
simply 33 Byzantium chests? --138.75.82.239 19:28, 14 April 2018 (UTC)

[PvP] For "most efficiency"[edit]

The first paragraph already says the number of tickets required is timegated behind 3 seasons, so the second paragraph saying to complete Byzantium track 33 times in 1 season isn't congruous with the first paragraph.

So, given that a minimum of 3 seasons are needed, and that the total number of shards given by all non-Byzantium tracks is 300 and that the Byzantium track gives a total of 100 shards, we can do the following calculation:
3 x 300 + 3n x 100 = 3600
3n = 27

That is, the Byzantium track must be completed a total of 27 times over the 3 seasons, and it must be completed at least once in each of the 3 seasons for most efficiency. So a player could do something like 25+1+1, but 27+0+0 won't be the most efficient. --175.140.216.178 19:37, 16 May 2018 (UTC)

Feedback 2018/06/03[edit]

The cost in WvW Claim Tickets for the WvW Legendary armour based upon the T2 ascended armour is 7 880, which I believe is correct. However the cost based upon the T3 ascended armour is listed as 10 500, which I believe is incorrect. By my calculations, the additional cost of the T3 vs T2 is 1310 tickets. Add 1310 to 7880 and you get 9190 claim tickets. Have I made a calculation error, or is the 10 500 value incorrect? If I am correct, this makes just under 26 weeks to complete, instead of 29.

I believe that because you must have T2 to get T3 that the editor included the cost of the T2 armor. T2 costs 1310 and T3 costs 2620 so it would be 2320 more tickets than a T2 legendary set Sythe 16:09, 3 June 2018 (UTC)

I believe numbest should be set to 10500, since you need t2 (1310) to unlock t3 (2620). Like this is confusing. Btw also shoud mention if u go for t3, ull end up with extra set asc t2.

[PvE/Raids] Timegate is fixed now and won't get shorter anymore with new raid wings, with LI (HoT) and LD (PoF) being separate currencies now[edit]

Source: https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/54756/a-note-about-future-raid-rewards#latest

So the first set will take 150/13 = 12 weeks (rounded up), while the subsequent sets will take 300/13 = 24 weeks (rounded up);
Or the total needed for all three sets is 750/13 = 58 weeks (rounded up) --60.53.178.145 18:29, 14 September 2018 (UTC)

That's correct. But LD might be used the same LI is (for insignia and gift) — we won't know until the patch hits. ❄The F. Prince❄ (talk) 17:09, 15 September 2018 (UTC)

PvP League Ticket timegating[edit]

With off/mini-seasons giving tickets now, what combination of those and main/conquest seasons can be done to get the 300 required tickets? --174.128.181.215 22:53, 3 May 2020 (UTC)

WvW Mistforged vs. Triumphant Hero's differences[edit]

"If you're not interested in the blue aura provided by the Mistforged variant, then you can obtain a full set of legendary armor with the Triumphant Hero's armor skin instead, which has no WvW rank requirement."

Question: does the "cheap" Triumphant variant produce the same legendary piece as the Mistforged except without the blue aura? I'm asking because these sets differ much more than just the aura. They have different dye channels, finish (think of polished and matte chrome), the back effect (for the Mistforged) and other details. The ascended variants at least are not just "the same without effects". --Smiley™ de: user | talk 01:28, 11 December 2020 (UTC)

WvW Armor Set[edit]

"For a Silver rank player then two reward tracks will typically be completed in the same time it takes to reach Diamond skirmish chest (about 16 hours, no boosters used)."

I don't think 16 hours is the appropriate estimate to have here. Per the Pip Query page, https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Special:RunQuery/WvW_skirmish_pip_query?, you only get 16.1 hours as a Silver rank if you have the Committed bonus (complete a chest in the prior period). Sixteen hours also relies on an even split of server ranking (first, second or third place 33% each) and an estimate of 10% of play within outnumbered maps. Obviously, all of that is too much information to include on this page. However, I think this sentence should be updated as follows, including with the link to the WvW skirmish pip query tool.

"For a Silver rank player then two reward tracks will typically be completed in the same time it takes to reach Diamond skirmish chest (between 15 and 20 hours, depending on several factors). The WvW skirmish pip query tool can be used to estimate the time required. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Special:RunQuery/WvW_skirmish_pip_query?"

I agree that it's more on the 20 hour end than 16, however i also think that the recently added table about memories of battle is redundant/unnecessary as they are freely available and not hard capped as tickets. The above corrected paragraph alone would suffice. --84.178.46.80 04:54, 6 October 2021 (UTC)

Feedback 2023/02/06[edit]

New WvW weeklies give 5skirmish tickets per achievement, total of +35tickets per week. Count of weeks needed to fully craft legendary armor set should be reviewed. --74.59.208.156 08:16, 6 February 2023 (UTC)

New PvP pip calculation needed[edit]

Unaware how this was done already, changing the text but not the pip estimation. If anyone knows the calculation please assist in updating.
