NICE GOING HERE TOO

Karka tend to cast weakness. Karka ( majority of them) tend to produce volley of 6 shots 2k each every 40 seconds. Where the hell am i supposed to get dodge from when weakened? Its like inability to defend from like 15-20k damage.

They do a lot of damage when you first aggro them. Be prepared with projectile destroyers/reflectors or retaliation, or duck behind something, or stealth, or interrupt them with a knock down, pull/push, etc. Manifold 17:20, 18 November 2012 (UTC)

my strategy is as follows: agro. As soon as the volley starts: dodge, dodge. That avoids all damage. Keep shooting and when it comes close: knockback. Keep shooting while running back. A second knockback and it's dead. Repeat three times for veterans. 62.159.14.62 15:23, 27 November 2012 (UTC)

Opening sentence

I reverted this edit. "Initially dubbed" makes it sound like the 'formal' name applied by Levvi is no longer applicable, which is something we have no indication of. Moreover, the colloquial name 'karka' is derived from Levvi's name, so it makes sense to have it second. --Santax (talk · contribs) 12:22, 19 March 2014 (UTC)

I don't think the Guild Wars universe really has a scientific way of naming creatures. The name, in its entirety, given by Researcher Levvi is "Levvi's Leviathanus Carcinus", as seen in The Lost Shores/Phase 1/dialogue. --Santax (talk · contribs) 20:52, 19 March 2014 (UTC)

Are there actually any karka underwater?

They're supposed to have come from the deep ocean right? But how come none of them appear underwater on Southsun Cove? And do they usually build nests/hives on land but not underwater? --138.75.144.128 23:54, 12 June 2016 (UTC)
