Harlequin is a type of clown, which explains this smiling mask, and, in a roundabout and erroneously attributed way, to the DC universe character with the punned name. Saying that this is a reference to a Batman villain is like saying that the wizards in WvWvW are a reference to Lord of the Rings. Wombatt 01:14, 19 August 2012 (UTC)
