Talk:Guaranteed Purple-Gray Dye Unlock
I thought the "unlock" items meant you don't an actual item, just that stuff gets unlocked on your account. Is that not the case here and you can sell them, hence the trading post prices? If so seems like a bad idea on Anet"s part. 74.105.131.229 18:45, 20 January 2018 (UTC)
- You are entirely correct, I believe that you receive the dye unlock directly, with no item. Since you can't choose which dye you receive, the TP price seems entirely superfluous. In which case, the tables added by User:FreezyExp could be reverted. -Chieftain Alex 01:02, 21 January 2018 (UTC)
I thought it would be useful to include the prices, as knowing which ones you could pick up cheaply would point out what you would stand to gain vs the effort of collecting the ingredients. Perhaps a disclaimer?
- But according to Chieftain Alex, you can't sell what you get, nor can you chose what you get so prices on the page really seems useless and confusing. 74.105.131.229 11:21, 21 January 2018 (UTC)
- I've come around to thinking it might be quite like the Black Lion Wardrobe Unlock thing, where you might want to buy the cheap dyes yourself so that you unlock something more valuable. (it turns out in this case that there's only 5 expensive dyes). I've converted the format to be similar to Jubilant Dye Pack. -Chieftain Alex 11:28, 21 January 2018 (UTC)
Does this unlock gemstore dyes despite the description? Why are there dyes like vintage silver on there? Lucky.9421 (talk) 00:40, 20 November 2018 (UTC)
- As the notes section says: "Vincent Dye and Vintage Silver Dye are a possible unlock, even though they are exclusive dyes." - J.P. 00:45, 20 November 2018 (UTC)
API thingy[edit]
Can anybody add the API thing to Guaranteed Yellow-Orange Dye Unlock ? Its the only one of the 4 pages that doesnt have the option to check if you have all the possible dyes unlocked. DBZVelena | (Talk page) 21:53, 19 May 2018 (UTC)
