Talk:Grothmar Wardowns

"Next to the camp was a lake which was the home to one of the slumbering Ancient Dragons, the Water Dragon A.K.A Grothmar itself." If that is true, then this page is relevant O_o Don't be too fast with slapping a remove tag on just because the page name reminds you of GW1.   User Riven sigicon.png    10:20, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

We had this discussion before, and the page was deleted along with the talk. Calor (t) 19:25, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
Please point me to that discussion then.   User Riven sigicon.png    06:32, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
That's a bit hard if the discussion was deleted. If you point me to the place I can restore it for you, I just don't know where it was. - anja talk 07:13, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
Err, why are discussions that deal with what content is kept and what content is not, being deleted? That doesn't make much sense to me. Should have been moved to the talk page of the policy that governs this stuff. Anyway, care to explain to me then, why this page is, and I quote from the deletion tag, "gw1 info"? Sure it is, but how is it not also GW2 info? If what is mentioned on the Water dragon page is true, and Grothmar originates from the Grothmar Wardowns, then there we go, relevant to GW2. Another point; let's say that I'm new to GW (2) and I don't know anything about GW1. I visit the Water dragon page, and I'm informed that the water dragon, Grothmar, originates from the Grothmar Wardowns. However, this location name doesn't have a page, so how am I then to know what the hell the 'Grothmar Wardowns' are? Come to think of it, "gw1 info" is actually not true at all, since the fact that Grothmar originates from the Grothmar Wardowns does not have any relevancy to GW1 whatsoever. Err, did I miss anything?   User Riven sigicon.png    11:01, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
I understand your frustration. It is an issue that doesn't have a clear answer for some of the articles appearing on the wiki. Because I can write the page from a guild wars 2 perspective (I know how it relates to Gw2) I'm inclined to agree with your opinion on this page. I don't especially like having a page with two sentences on it, but that's the hazard of creating a wiki where there isn't any game information. :) --Aspectacle 11:20, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
I can see your argument either way. And I believe the discussion was on the now-deleted Grothmar Wardowns talk page. Calor (t) 23:21, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
I can neither find it the history of this page or in the deletion log, which makes me think it really were somewhere else. :P - anja talk 08:32, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
Like I said on my talk, there was a discussion that existed pertaining to the retention of articles of this quality and relation to GW2. Calor (t) 19:30, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

I find it interesting how much of EotN random stuff seems to be related to GW2... -- Armond WarbladeUser Armond sig image.png 08:10, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

Everything ANet's done is related to later campaigns imo. Calor Talk 17:27, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
Everything? O.o -- Armond WarbladeUser Armond sig image.png 18:40, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
It means we'll have paragons in GW2. Lord Belar 20:52, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
As Mad King Thorn put it, naked people that run around shouting at strangers. Or something like that. Calor Talk 22:32, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

Relevancy[edit]

As being where Kralkatorrik awoke, I believe that it is indeed relevant to Guild Wars 2. Konig/talk 23:47, 6 November 2012 (UTC)

Just wikilink it? You'll be regurgitating information for gw1.--Relyk 07:26, 8 December 2012 (UTC)
I agree, interwiki link to GW1W from Kralkie's page should be sufficient. That's the only place it's relevant, anyway. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png
The relevancy that cannot be provided in GW1 is that it is the "start" of the Dragonbrand, as well as a location visited in Edge of Destiny (though not named). But since it's a case of 3v1 on this, I won't argue much more. Three points of relevancy though (and actually, I think its even mentioned in-game by an NPC talking about Kralk, though I may be wrong on this). Konig/talk 19:30, 8 December 2012 (UTC)
