Talk:Gates of Arah

Rename suggestion: The POI Gates of Arah is a separate game element from the meta event Defend the Gates of Arah, thus each should have their own page. That way, links to the POI will not end up at the event page. MajFauxPas 20:15, 1 October 2012 (UTC)
- Moved, anyone who wants to can edit the redirect at Gates of Arah into a proper PoI article.
- In the future, you can either move a page yourself (using the "move" tab at the top) or, if you aren't certain of the move and want outside input, use the {{move|reason for move}} template to tag a page with your reason for the move. —Dr Ishmael 20:35, 1 October 2012 (UTC)
- (Page was moved while I was typing) Are you saying the name was changed to "Defend the Gates of Arah"? I have pretty recent screenshots of it as "Gates of Arah". As for priority, there are a couple meta events that share a name with an area (Nonmoa Lake (meta event)), but a PoI seems potentially a bit less important than a meta event, I don't feel too strong about it though.
- (Post move) Are you really sure the name was changed? It would be odd to have "Defend the Gates of Arah" as the name of the event as well as the descriptive text under it be the same, did you confuse them? Manifold 20:36, 1 October 2012 (UTC)
- FFS, edit conflict now. Manifold 20:36, 1 October 2012 (UTC)
- I don't know, I haven't made it to Arah yet (starting on Straits of Devastation tonight), so I just assumed good faith. If it's incorrect, then unless someone edits the redirect you should be able to move it back. —Dr Ishmael 20:38, 1 October 2012 (UTC)
Misinformation[edit]
Arah can be entered even if the meta-event is incomplete. Was stuck on Anchorage not being captured and I was able to just waltz in through the portal.
Failing Defense events[edit]
The notes say "defense events must be allowed to fail", but it doesn't specify which defense events. Can anyone clarify? --Vm0d (talk) 08:20, 21 November 2024 (UTC)
