Drop rate

I ran through all 3 maps of Orr, with guild Gathering boost (15%) and Gemstore Gathering boost. Got in total 266 elder wood logs and 15 ancient wood, and 5 foxfire cluster. Janine Esgeron (talk) 14:56, 30 July 2014 (UTC)

Gathering Booster doesn't affect your chance at getting rare materials, but only at gaining additional resources materials... in this case more wood. --[User:Axolotl|Axolotl]] 17:29, 2 August 2014 (UTC)

do these drop from the other two elder wood trees aswell? or only the ones found in 70-80 zones?

Farmed the 5 sapling cluster in Rayhan Bayt with 7 alts every hour or so and collected 2034 Elder Wood, 59 Ancient Wood, and 67 Foxfire Clusters. Verity (talk) 01:00, 2 August 2014 (UTC)

WvW trees

I've cut down a lot of Red Oak/Ancient Saplings in WvW and never once gotten a Foxfire Cluster. Maybe they don't drop there for some reason? Vili 点 07:50, 2 October 2014 (UTC)

In Malchor's Leap, from Pagga's Waypoint there is a statue of Melandru toward the west. It is circled by about six Cypress saplings. That cluster has been, for me, more likely to drop Foxfire than any twelve other trees throughout Orr. Other mobs that drop clusters

Doing a clear the pact encampment event in Verdant Brink and killed a Mordem Sniper, and 2 Jungle Tendrils at the same time, and one of these dropped me a cluster. Magua (talk) 04:02, 2 October 2016 (UTC)
