Talk:End of the world

I'm not sure if this is the right category or even name, because the term might not be called "end of the world" in Guild Wars 2. They probably will fix the ability to reach this but I passed through the "strong current" by using my ele's 3rd lightning skill Air Pocket.-- Fey User Fey Zeal Blue Sylvari Tango.png 21:36, 31 August 2012 (UTC)

Yeah, this is the end of the world as we know it. Much better description than "bounding box" or whatever. — snogratUser Snograt signature.png 21:45, 31 August 2012 (UTC)

Clarification[edit]

Ok, so it seems there are 2 ideas here being presented as the same "End of the World" as an instance limitation, and "End of the World" as a map limitation. Those two are very very different things. For one, an instance end of the world, can be 'tricked' and you can bypass it to go outside of the realms of the instance. A map limit however is absolute, there is absolutely no way (fault of straight up injecting a new surface into the game via 3rd party software) to go past map boundaries.

Is this page meant to explain only one of the two or both? If it is meant for both then I might reword and complete this quite a bit since, as it is, it lends itself to confusion. The text says one thing (instance EotW), but the images shown to illustrate something else (map EotW). -Darqam (talk) 17:38, 8 April 2016 (UTC)
