Talk:Elonian weapons

The name of the "Elonian weapons" in the wardrobe are exactly the same as the Elonian weapon skins, not Elonian Pistol, Elonian Focus, etc. Is there some reason that this shouldn't be turned back into a redirect since they really are the same thing and not two separate sets? - Do_odleplex 23:26, 11 September 2017 (UTC)

Hmm. I don't think it's a duplicate. For Black Lion skins we also keep the consumable skin and the wardrobe skin separate, like Dragon's Jade Avenger Skin and Dragon's Jade Avenger (skin) . So the comsumable has the "Skin" suffix and the wardrobe item has the "(skin)" suffix. A la Elonian Warsickle Skin and Elonian Warsickle (skin). Also, the Elonian set is special since they are the very first sets of weapons where we have both skin consumables AND the actual weapons in the game. Usually consumable skins like the Black Lion ones and the account achivement ones don't have a weapon/armor equivalent and vice versa. So that means we have to have a page for the weapons themselves, another page for the skin consumables, and another page for the wardrobe skins. - Divinebaboon (talk) 21:32, 25 September 2017 (UTC)

Table looks weird

The table is calling/displaying weird. I can't see why. Anyone? This is voodoo as far as I can tell.--Rain Spell (talk) 04:58, 25 September 2017 (UTC)

The same thing is happening at https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Tip_of_the_Spear, although someone just replaced the table there with links. As far as I could tell from the weapon set table template (that hasn't been changed in a long time, so that's not the problem), it seems something is going wrong with getting the number of main hand weapons from the set, but I'm not sure what the "Has weapon type number::<5" means or where they get their info from. The result is 8 though, instead of 6. The weapons have been moved around to the correct page to account for naming changes with the actual release against the demo, so I'm guessing something went wrong around there.

Edit: Oooh, I get it now. It's running the query on the category:Elonian weapons page, asking for weapons with the given weapon type number. So somehow it is returning 2 more weapons with a Main Hand weapon type. Which is weird if you look at the actual category page though... --Zkarts (talk) 13:52, 25 September 2017 (UTC)

Just a theory, but maybe it has something to do with the that Elonian weapon skins exists(and possibly shouldn't)? I'd guess due to the two pages being practically identical is causing issues somehow. - Do_odleplex 20:25, 25 September 2017 (UTC)

Sunspear weapons

Are the sunspear and elonian weapons similar? May someone add a page for it.

Salvage Rate

Do these still salvage ecto at a lower rate than other rare weapons in the game? Should there be a note about this? I can't find much info about it other than an old forum thread.
