Note from Reddit[edit]

According to user Justicia, the way it works between instances is as follows:

There are 6 rooms: White (W), Orange (O), Purple (P), Green (G), Blue (B), Red (R). G is always the last room and isn't in a set rotation.
Each instance of the map has a set rotation of 4 rooms, always ending in G. People are often confused thinking that it's a daily rotation, but it's an instanced rotation.
For example, one instance of the map may have the rotation: O-P-B-G. Another instance at the same time may have the rotation: R-O-W-G
While you have the Light of Deldrimor buff, you may swap instances after having unlocked a room by placing the plate in the lock, and the room will be unlocked on any instance. (If you don't have the buff anymore, swapping the map gets rid of the unlocks).
So, for example you started on instance one with O-P-B-G, and you got stuck at P because there were 20 people trying to get the plate. You relogged or instance switched or whatever and you got on instance 2 with rotation R-O-W-G. Since you already unlocked the P door you can still go in.
However, any room that is not in that instance's rotation will give its own coloured plate. So for instance 1 with rotation O-P-B-G, rooms W and R will give their own colour, while on instance 2 with rotation R-O-W-G rooms P and B will give their own colour.
This is exactly what happened to you. You swapped to an instance where P was not in the rotation, giving you its own plate when killing the Graveling.
This is also how you can get all coloured plates on your own, by swapping maps and getting different plates from different rooms. For example, in the above examples you could get all rooms by first doing the 2nd instance (R-O-W-G), and then going to instance 1 and going into O where you would get P and then B, opening all rooms for you.

Thought it might be useful for people looking to farm it and so on. I obtained permission from this user to post it here so that it can help someone if they're confused. Here's a link to the comment. AnastashaRomanov (talk) 05:36, 16 February 2019 (UTC)

Elite gravelings in red room[edit]

The red room had an ungodly number of elite gravelings in it. Is this new? I've never seen it before. And, the room was actually dark, so you needed the torches, but only in some places. Daddicus (talk) 04:17, 22 April 2019 (UTC)

They appear if you don't use the torch. Using a torch applies the Flickering Flame (Thunderhead Peaks) effect, which wards off any gravelings for a set amount of time, after you receive another effect warning you that darkness is closing in — if you don't find another torch in ~5 seconds, a graveling will spawn. —Ventriloquist 14:51, 22 April 2019 (UTC)

Bugged Chests[edit]

Some chests can only be gotten via mount. The light of Deldrimor will point to the location of the chest but will not reveal the chest because the player is too far away. I've come across two bugged chests in one run of the mini dungeon, both bugged chests were the second hidden chest. The first bugged chest was in the Dwarven Sauna, it was in the corner farthest from the entrance in the hallway that is a dead end. When on foot, the light would point to the corner, but once the player was actually in the corner the light would act like it does when there are no more chests to be found. I didn't want to waste any more time and moved to the second room. The second room was the Crystal Room. The bugged chest was in the last room on top of the left most pillar. On foot, the light would point to where the chest would be if it was ground level. I was able to see both chests when I was on my mount after reaching The Hammer's Hoard.

Handy to know[edit]

I'm sure most know this by now, but bringing your own torch keeps the gravelings at bay and is especially handy if you're searching for hidden chests. Also, turning up your gamma slider in the graphics options is useful if you're scared of the dark ;) :P :) Honnaja 14:00, 23 June 2024 (UTC)
