My thief used a lockpick to access some power cables and open the control room door. I suspect each profession gets a different option. SarielV

It's a mercy[edit]
The note - An easy way to complete the achievement is to use the Control Room Console and stay near it. All engineers will come up to you by themselves, so you don't have to run around looking for them - doesn't work. I activated the console but not a single engineer came to me. I still had to run around the entire building to find and defeat them.
Need to have Jade Core installed for corridor[edit]
Bad luck if you moved the Jade Core from one character to another, you have to get it back. Else you can't interact with the Jade Battery to remove the barrier in the step "Approach Soo-Wan through the maintenance corridor."
Glad that you can at least go back into the story to continue in the corridor and not need to start from the beginning after you left the instance.
