Not sure why this page exists, why are these recipes not simply displayed on the tailoring page? This seems like it would be very confusing for someone who is new to the wiki.

- I am moving the recipes off the Tailor page for the same reason that the Warrior page does not have detailed lists of skills -- They do not belong on that page. There are over 4000 recipes in the game, many of them duplicated across disciplines (ingots, bolts of cloth, leather, insignia, inscriptions, etc). This makes for 500+ recipes a discipline. If you think that the Tailor page is ok now, just extend it on for 500+ rows of table. Keeping them all on the main discipline page is not practical, and hurts that page. We may ultimately remove all recipes (specific and generic alike) from the Tailor page, replacing them with links to recipe lists. —Torrenal 05:23, 2 July 2012 (UTC)
- These are generic recipes, there would only be (wild guess) 50 or so of them per discipline. —Dr Ishmael 12:19, 2 July 2012 (UTC)
- from the start point on the page (before I started pushing recipes into sub pages): ~ 14 insignia recipes per material * 6 materials, plus 12 craftable components (panels, padding, linings, etc) * 6 materials, plus 2 recipe forms per location per material, (2*6*6) plus what looks like a bonus recipe per location per material(shadow & devout gear) (6*6), Plus unlockable recipes. Plus material refinements (12 recipes) = ~276 table rows. Not counting undiscovered trends or unlockbles. That's ~420 shorter than it would be if it listed every unique recipe, but still plenty long. This is a work in progress. The design is to have a double index for the crafting information. Nothing fancy, merely practical. Currently I'm building out the index that is more meaningfull to the discipline page. —Torrenal 18:30, 2 July 2012 (UTC)
- My point being, not very many of the recipes on this page were generic. The end product recipes, and that was it. The version I'm aiming for will have, about 25 generic recipes. And surprise, but I bet the generic forms will be plenty useful. Jute, Wool, Cotton, that's all you need to substitute in for most of them. That level of substitution and the material specific insignia page will get you most of the recipes. —Torrenal 01:30, 3 July 2012 (UTC)
