Talk:Candidate Trials

Not sure about editing the guide section, but for stage 4, you will need A LOT of condition removal. Soldier runes on warriors, guardians, and possibly rangers will help a lot. Edit: The condition removal is good if you're doing it with friends or other players. Minimal condition removal will be fine if you manage it well. --Yakuzaaa (talk) 00:46, 24 July 2013 (UTC)

Bug[edit]

First of all, you need to know to get the accomplishment:

- there are 2 entrances for the candidate trials
- you need to represent the correct candidate as you enter in the candidate trials
- I heard that you need to do them in order. You cannot skip and do tier 4, 1, 2, and 3 for example (dulfy source).

Now there is a bug. I dunno know why, but I didn't have credit for Ellen even if I represented her. I've done 1 and 2 before. And yet, 3 did not register in my accomplishment. I was guesting in another server and we started by tier 4 by mistake. If anyone know, I would really appreciate Yes4me (talk) 19:39, 24 July 2013 (UTC)

I entered Ellen's trials last night, without ever depositing a Support Token (so I never had a Button to use), and I got credit for completing tier 1. I didn't know you could skip tiers - but I also didn't go back in after that. I assume that if someone else in your party has completed it before, they can pick a higher tier to start at initially? —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 20:01, 24 July 2013 (UTC)
I was incorrect. I just did t3 and and t4 and didn't represent nobody. Yes4me (talk) 21:47, 24 July 2013 (UTC)

Noticed another potential bug last night. I was trying to duo with my wife and it was auto-failing the trial if she died, even though we had plenty of treasure left unplundered. Usaf1a8xx (talk) 21:50, 29 July 2013 (UTC)

Solutions for T4[edit]

- Stay by the left mortars. If you get hit by the mortars, you are definitely too far.
- Do not aggro anything. If you do (by mistake), run behind the huge rock and get rid of aggro
- Make sure to bring some ways to stop or slow down the runners.
- all skills into burst damage, stopping the runners, removing condition, and (if possible) stealth
- once you kill 6 pirates, the right runner appears

your welcome Yes4me (talk) 21:51, 24 July 2013 (UTC)

What about my welcome? Just kidding! And yes, this works. You do need BIG damage (I was unable to do it on my supporty Wells nec, but quite able on my zerker war) to make sure you can spike down the runners before A) you are noticed by the other mobs or B) the runner manages to do his/her spinny bag trick. Another trick I've found is in line with your 5th point above: If you LET the runners take the first few bags (however many few is depends on how comfortable you feel), the kill count will stay quite low, and the right-hand runners simply won't spawn. At the end, this means you have far fewer spawn points to worry about. 69.249.227.39 20:42, 26 July 2013 (UTC)
Can it be this has JUST been fixed by a patch (right the moment i read this and we were trying it out) The preceding unsigned comment was added by 213.209.76.22 (talkcontribs).
Yes, it has been patched. The wave spawning on the other side has been fixed. Geekfox (talk) 04:59, 31 July 2013 (UTC)
