Overlap with Taro

Since today's fish is the King Salmon, a fish that belongs to the Shiverpeaks region but also drops here, I guess this NPC doesn't want exlusively Janthiri fish. Lowlands also drops Rainbow Trout so there might be some overlap with Ascalon. VectorSomething (talk) 07:32, 25 August 2024 (UTC)

--- King Salmon also drops from Lowland Freshwater Fish and Lowland Brackish Fish. Similarly, Icy Lumpfish also drops from Lowland Brackish Fish. I edited the page for both fish, but it's not reflected in the table. Any idea? Sigmatics (talk) 09:01, 25 August 2024 (UTC)

Just a note: hint in the infobox is meant for ingame text, and the ingame text used by the Shiverpeaks collection never mentions the Janthir fishing holes. Sunlion (talk) 09:12, 25 August 2024 (UTC)

The fish dropping from the Janthir fishing holes is already noted in gathered from, so that should be okay. Pity it doesn't list it on this page, though. The collection parameter doesn't show what's exclusive to a collection, just things that are part of it, so that can stay. I'm guessing the Shiverpeaks fish caught in Janthir still progress the achievement too, but verification of that would be nice. Sunlion (talk) 09:17, 25 August 2024 (UTC)

Humbled Den

Humbled Den in Harvest Shore also offers the exchange. I don't think we can make the Daily Catch table exclusive to this page. Sigmatics (talk) 09:24, 25 August 2024 (UTC)

We can put a redirect to Bending Reed under their offered items if they have the same daily fish and share the 1/day limit (i.e. if turning it in to one of them also counts as turning it in towards the other). VectorSomething (talk) 11:53, 25 August 2024 (UTC)

Seems odd to make it a redirect when both NPCs are equally important. Maybe just transclude it onto both pages from some "Inventory/Janthir Fishmonger" page? Sunlion (talk) 11:56, 25 August 2024 (UTC)

I meant more so in the sense that we could have put a link under Humbled Den's "Items Offered" that directed people to look at this page for the daily fish rotation. But if a separate inventory page that contributes to both Bending Reed and Humbling Den can be made, that would be a good solution too (I'll just have to remember to edit that one instead of a character page). There is also Lupine in the Wind in Janthir Syntri that also offers a Daily Catch. However in Syntri the fish is different. So it seems to be per zone. Sigmatics (talk) 14:59, 25 August 2024 (UTC)

Created Template:Inventory/Lowland Shore Fishmonger for the Lowland Shore fishmongers to draw from. And sorry, didn't word that right, I get what you meant by putting a link to redirect people there. Shared limit with Lupine in the Wind

I've never interacted with Lupine before but when I checked today it said that he doesn't offer any trades. Since I've traded with Bending Reed toda, could it be that he shares the limit of Bending Reed and Humbled Den, but with a different offered fish? VectorSomething (talk) 19:07, 25 August 2024 (UTC)

I can confirm this, I had exchanged with Bending Reed and was unable to exchange again with Lupine Sigmatics (talk) 05:32, 26 August 2024 (UTC)
