Effects of Bear Form[edit]
Source for the health increase? 68.144.77.185 09:31, 10 January 2011 (UTC)
- I would just assume off other games bear=/=fortitude. like Wolf =/= agility --Neil • 16:59, 10 January 2011 (UTC)
- I remember this somewhere, but for the life of me I can't find it. Eive 19:15, 10 January 2011 (UTC)
- The health increase is for Guild Wars, though, not applicable for Guild Wars 2 until we get confirmation or more info. Eive, if you come across it again, could you put the article/confirmation up? Just don't want us jumping the gun with speculation (yet). 136.159.70.7 20:49, 10 January 2011 (UTC)

Stat Gain[edit]
Increases power, toughness, and vitality.
Bear gives more health than raven and wolf at the cost of no precision gain.

Wolf

Green values are modified stats due to bear. I am not in a level adjusted area (this ability is actually bugged in level adjusted areas and if you are level adjusted AT ALL, you receive a significantly smaller stat boost).

So that might affect the precision loss (though still doesn't seem to add up right). Just reporting the data. Crevox 11:44, 5 September 2012 (UTC)
- Transforms give attribute bonuses based on your base attribute score, i.e. the attribute value at your level before any bonuses from equipment. Since the base attribute value at level 56 is 514, you obviously have:
- 514 + 8 = 522 Power without bear, 2*514 + 8 = 1036 Power with bear
- 514 + 457 = 971 Toughness without bear, 2*514 + 457 = 1485 Toughness with bear
- 514 + 522 = 1036 Vitality without bear, 4*514 + 522 = 2578 Vitality with bear
- When your level is adjusted down, your base attributes are decreased to match that level, thus the bonuses from any transform are likewise decreased. —Dr Ishmael 13:00, 5 September 2012 (UTC)
- It's not even that. You can go ahead and test. If I am level 55 and am level 55 in my area, I have like 22k+++ health in bear form. If my level is adjusted at all, I only get 1-2k health bonus. Yes, I know it would be decreased with a smaller base stat, however, this is a radically different stat gain. Crevox 19:23, 5 September 2012 (UTC)
- Crevox is correct, looks like level downscaling happens after the bonus to vitality from this skill is applied, and because it's not linear, the increase in vitality, and therefor health, is not as large as it would be in an area where you aren't downscaled. In my quick testing, My naked vitality was 31.5% of it's original value after scaling. With bear form, my vitality was only 24.3% of it's original value after scaling. Tested at level 31, base vitality 216, bear vitality 864, scaled to 11, those numbers become 68 and 210, respectively. --Aspirant Fool (talk) 15:01, 22 May 2014 (UTC)
