Can a Guardian benefit from their own Virtue of Resolve and an ally's Battle Presence? Will a player receive a cumulative benefit from multiple allies with Battle Presence? --Felbryn 07:16, 17 October 2012 (UTC)
- No, in fact a player doesn't even receive the full effect of a single ally's Battle Presence if that ally has any boon duration. The problem is that it tries to reapply itself before the initial part ends, causing an immune message which then leaves allies without Battle Presence until it attempts to reapply itself again. generally this means 3 seconds of it on, 3 seconds of it off. 76.118.116.164 19:38, 21 October 2012 (UTC)
- Considering that virtue of resolve is not a boon, I would be exceedingly surprised if boon duration has anything to do with it. Have you specifically confirmed that this problem doesn't occur when you have no +boon duration? Does the buff last noticeably longer when you stack a bunch of +boon duration? --Felbryn 19:48, 21 October 2012 (UTC)
Limit[edit]
Is there a limit on how many people are affected by this? Will it, like most party buffs, just apply to five people, or will it benefit an entire zerg? Asking because it seems pretty unique in how it applies, it's not a Boon or an AoE, so potentially it could be a great overall thing for a zerg support guardian. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 09:55, 25 October 2013 (talk).
- I'd assume it has the 5 target limit just like Soothing Mist, but haven't actually tested it. People don't sit still long enough in Lion's Arch. It's still a very useful thing either way - and it's not at all uncommon to find Guardians in a zerg using it. Vili 点
