Disclaimer: I have yet to try this collection in-game.
In the June 7th 2022 patch notes under the General section there is a line regarding the final step of the collection:
The Fragment of Prismatic Shadows step of the Aurene's Facet of Shadows collection can now be completed by defeating the Risen High Wizard or successfully holding the Gates of Arah.
Based on this line, I wonder if the statement regarding letting the defense event fail is still correct?
Defense Event[edit]
Can someone please confirm that you don't need to kill the Risen High Wizard during the def event? I did not get progress when I missed it but killed mobs for the remaining event duration. Lacrisma.1540 (talk) 10:22, 17 October 2023 (UTC)
