Talk:Astralaria
Questioning "Skill effects" section[edit]
From this article:
- Similar to Frostfang, Astralaria also has skill changes.
The listed skills for Necromancer are not Axe skills, they are Death Shroud skills. They have nothing to do with the Axe, and do not require wielding an axe to use them. Life Blast is a slow moving torpedo of shadowy energy, and Dark Path is a shadowy claw attack similar to Spectral Grasp followed by a teleport to target; neither one includes any weapon in their animations.
I've left a similar comment on the talk page for Frostfang, because that article makes the same mistake. 12.233.147.42 21:04, 20 January 2016 (UTC)
- Of course they are not axe skills. It changes the projectile to the Astralaria skin. Instead of the black green glob it shoots Astralaria with the cosmic trail behind it. It is not a mistake in the article. (Sashebalchev (talk) 22:36, 5 May 2016 (UTC))
Base Ingredients[edit]
something screwy is going on with the base ingredients function where it is also including 5 deldrimmor ingots, ive spreadsheeted it for myself and cant see where that is needed —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Goat (talk) at 21:25, 20 February 2016 (UTC).
Trivia section[edit]
I edited some wrong facts about the axe's name. Astral isn't a real Latin word. The correct term is Astralis, its an adjective and it means "of the stars", not "connected to" or "resembling stars". Again, Aria isn't a Latin word but an Italian one and it comes from the Latin Aer. I added some context to the trivia section to further validate Song/music of the stars as the correct and intended meaning for the axe's name. Remove them if they don't fit well with other pages.151.49.64.54 08:48, 12 June 2016 (UTC)
Consistency in subtotals[edit]
As per the recent edits and subsequent protection, are we showing the subtotals consistently on this table? I see 250 Crystalline Ingots, requiring 250 of each sub-component; 77 Mystic Clovers, requiring ~231 of each sub-component; but 2 Gifts of Condensed Magic, requiring only 1 of each sub-component? Perhaps that should be doubled, as you would need 2 of each sub-component for that portion of the recipe. G R E E N E R 19:18, 9 December 2017 (UTC)
- I still wouldn't mind this looked at by another pair of eyes, thanks. G R E E N E R 06:09, 11 December 2017 (UTC)
Sound when wielded[edit]
Can anyone confirm that the axe has a unique sound that plays (randomly) while it's being wielded without attacking? The text mentions a unique sound when swinging it, but the sound I'm referring to plays while the weapon is simply wielded/drawn, not while attacking or during the draw/stow animation. Maybe I just missed it / misunderstood it the text. Lacrisma.1540 (talk) 12:17, 8 January 2019 (UTC)
- Yeah, I can confirm that. There's a mechanical ticking noise that plays every few seconds as long as it's not stowed. I believe that's what the line "The pommel is a sextant, that has a moving counterweight that moves along a gear track. You can hear the sound of the weight as it moves" in the article refers to. - Felix Omni 16:02, 8 January 2019 (UTC)
- It's more like a fine ringing/ very short melody playing, the counterweight has a different sound. Lacrisma.1540 (talk) 16:04, 13 January 2019 (UTC)
