"Known to Break or Bug Game When Linked"[edit]

I've removed the note that this item is "known to break or bug game when linked" because I cannot replicate the issue: no crashes when using the chat code or linking the actual item; works the same as anything else in the game. I've asked 69.207.164.94 (talkcontribslogsblock log) to describe or document the issue on this page, in case it's something that might be hard to reproduce. – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 16:46, 16 August 2014 (UTC)

Per a note left on a user's talk page, I also tried linking the item and using the chat code in /guild chat. Also without incident. I've seen people link it in /map chat. I've also tried without success to find reports in the official forums and reddit. Lacking any evidence that this is a problem with the game, rather than with the executable on a few computers, I think it's reasonable to conclude that there's no bug. Since a contributor or two feel strongly that there is a bug, I'm willing to take another look whenever they are able to produce the steps required to replicate the issue. – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 23:31, 1 September 2014 (UTC)
If it's something specific to guild missions, that might be worth checking out. I can test that tomorrow; Tuesday is when my guild does missions.
Perhaps there's a difference between linking it via chat code, and linking it via the actual item? Vili 点 User talk:Vili 00:02, 2 September 2014 (UTC)
Guild missions can't have anything to do with a supposed chat link bug, there's no way the systems can interact that way. It's possible that linking a modified version of Arc (with sigil or skin added) could cause an issue, but it's unlikely, unless it's a very specific sigil/skin combination that doesn't work on any other weapon. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 00:40, 2 September 2014 (UTC)
Well, I linked Arc during today's Guild Rush with no effect. So unless there's more information about the bug, I'm going to say it's something particular to the affected users' computers. Vili 点 User talk:Vili 01:39, 3 September 2014 (UTC)
