Used anywhere[edit]
Is this term actually used anywhere? -- Nineaxis (talk) 01:27, 30 June 2012 (UTC)
- No, it's a GW2W term used to make it easier to present lists of recipes by comparing specific ones to a baseline. – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 02:54, 30 June 2012 (UTC)
- See Insignia#Crafting Recipes. Makes the page more concise than listing all 80-odd insignia recipes on one page —Torrenal 18:08, 1 July 2012 (UTC)
- Given that this page seems to be explaining terminology and acting as a substitution for Insignia recipes, is there a reason (other than confusing DPL queries) that this article has an infobox? — Rari 03:26, 3 August 2012 (UTC)

- None at all. Gone. —Dr Ishmael 04:00, 3 August 2012 (UTC)
Ectos?[edit]
Should it not be mentioned, that alls lvl 400 recipes (350???) require a glob of ecto on top of the other required tier6 materials? 213.160.12.67 11:21, 23 January 2013 (UTC)
- If all the recipes require it, then it's obviously not an activator. Activators are the unique part of a recipe that determines which of several versions you get. --Felbryn 19:06, 23 January 2013 (UTC)
- Nope, ecto is not an activator. I thought I'd removed that category from the ecto article a couple days ago... oh well, it's gone now. —Dr Ishmael 19:31, 23 January 2013 (UTC)
