Shred Gnarltail is a senior Priory Scribe that can be found near Haunted Nolani, in the Black Citadel. He's been a member of the scribe since 1305 AE, when the Durmand Priory held a recruitment drive for their 200th anniversary, and as Gnarltail had always loved ancient stories, he joined.

I am a member of the Durmand Priory. What are you working on?

My team and I are here to research the sudden disappearance of the gargoyles some 140 years ago. We've had a lot of curious types wander by, but we tell them our research is purely historical.

Oh, there is historical curiosity. We are, after all, scholars. But as you know, the Priory has a special interest in things like the sudden, large-scale disappearance of a species.
