— In-game description

Resting in Chair.png Resting in Chair is an effect that is applied when sitting in a novelty type chair and grants Well Rested.png A Little Well Rested (+5% experience bonus) after resting for 5 minutes.

Mechanics[edit]

  • This effect is received when sitting on a chair while not already having any Resting effects from Arborstone or The Wizard's Tower.
  • The effect lasts for 5 minutes.
  • After resting in a chair for 5 consecutive minutes without dismounting, the character receives Well Rested.png A Little Well Rested (+5% XP bonus) effect for 1 hour.
    • This effect is granted to all players regardless of masteries trained or expansions owned.
  • Sitting in a chair with a character that already has any Resting effect from Arborstone or The Wizard's Tower extends the duration by 80 seconds every 10 seconds, up to 4 hours (14 400 seconds).
    • This also includes the effect given by the chair itself, since it is also the first tier of the Arborstone resting effects.
    • It takes a total of 35 minutes to stack the effect to the maximum 4 hours: 5 minutes of initial Resting in Chair.png Resting in Chair and 30 minutes of gaining Well Rested.png A Little Well Rested.
  • Sitting in a chair does not extend the resting effects of Homesteads, and instead gives Resting in Chair.png Resting in Chair, but when the effect ends the Arborstone effect will not be granted.
  • There are cases where Resting in Chair will still be received when interacting with the Portable Hot Springs Chair when all possible sitting slots are already filled.
