Dialogue[edit]
- Welcome to Smokestead—the first outpost outside the Citadel, and the last line of defense against the human ghosts.
- Human ghosts?
- (If human)
- Over two centuries after your crazy human king cursed his subjects to continue the battle as ghosts, they're still out there fighting a war long over. You can crush 'em, but they keep coming back.
- (Otherwise)
- Over two centuries after that crazy human king cursed his subjects to continue the battle as ghosts, they're still out there fighting a war long over. You can crush 'em, but they keep coming back.
- So the war with the ghosts will go on forever?
- Our Iron Legion guys are working on a permanent solution for the ghost problem. That is, when they aren't making the war machinery we need to take on the Flame Legion.
- Flame Legion?
- Those charr traitors! They've vowed to destroy the other three legions. They're always staging raids to steal supplies or just stir up trouble.
- Speaking of supplies, in [sic] there any place around here I can get what I need? (Same as "Anyplace around here where I could get supplies?" below)
- Thanks for all your help.
- As long as I'm here, I'll do whatever I can to help. Good-bye.
- Good luck with your ghost problem. Good-bye.
- (If human)
- Good luck with the ghost battle.
- Anyplace around here where I could get supplies?
- You should ask the merchants here in the square what they've got to offer. Anything else, you'd have to head back to the citadel to buy.
- You mentioned the human ghosts? (same as "Human ghosts?" above)
- So the war with the ghosts will go on forever. (see answer above)
- The Flame Legion?

- Thanks. I'll have a look around.
- Seems to me like all the fighting's going on inside.
- Bah! Everything's changed around here since they opened that bar. Mixing whiskey and warriors is bad for the other businesses.

- Good luck with the ghost battle.
- Maybe I'll go find myself a quieter neighborhood.
- Catchy slogan. I think I'll just take a look around.
- During Prevent a brawl between the three legions
- Ugh. You hear that ruckus up there? Soldiers these days, I tell ya. No discipline.
- What's the problem?
- Knuckleheads from the three legions are having a boast-off. Won't end well. How about doin' me a big favor?
- Let me guess. Stop the fight brewing down there.
- Took the words out of my maw. Talk them down if ya can, but don't be afraid to smack them across the snout if ya have to.
- I'll cool these hotheads down, but why aren't you doing it?
- I break these fights up all the time. I figure sending in a new face might catch them off guard. Plus, ya look like a scrapper, kit.
- Oh, I'll talk some sense into them, all right.
- Wait. I have a few questions first.
- Get someone else to take care of your troubles.
- Wait. I have a few questions first.
- Oh, okay. What do ya want to know?
- Where am I? (Same as below)
- Who are you? (Same as below)
- Never mind. I'll go straight to the brawl.
- Nothing. Consider me gone.
- Solve your own problems.
- Where am I?
- You're on the edge of Smokestead Village, a good place for buying gear and restocking supplies.
- What's that noise coming from over there? (Same as "What's the problem?" above)
- Who are you?
- I'm the quaestor of Smokestead Village. I make sure the shops are stocked and the people get what they need.
- What's that noise coming from over there? (Same as "What's the problem?" above)
- Where am I? (Same as above)
- That's great. I'm out of here.
- And this is me leaving.
- Where am I? (Same as above)
- Who are you? (Same as above)
- Good to know. Take care.
- Who are you? (Same as above)
- Not interested.
Quotes[edit]
