Text[edit]
- When used, the text reads:
- The Ascalonian royal line changed hands following an act of regicide during the third guild war as Duke Barradin relinquished the throne to the popular usurper Adelbern.
- Adelbern's son and heir, Rurik, was well liked by the people, in part due to his eagerness to be at the front of the battle against the charr.
- In defiance of his father, the prince led to an exodus to Kryta in an attempt to help his people escape the charr.
- Although his people made it to safety, Rurik was slain at the mouth of the Frost Gate while holding off angry dwarves—Dagnar Stonepate and his Stone Summit kin.
- Rurik's allies avenged their fallen prince, slaying Dagnar Stonepate within Thunderhead Keep. Later, they undertook a quest to Rurik's soul to rest, giving him a place in the Hall of Heroes.
Trivia[edit]
