Meymo and her younger sister Kyrisah were taken by their parents on a pilgrimage to seek Ascension at Augury Rock. According to Chessa, their mother succumbed to the sulfur. The girls fell sick, and their father "did what he thought was best for them" by taking their lives. Dunkoro, a fellow ghost, takes care of the sisters now.
