Dialogue[edit]

During Flame and Frost[edit]

During Retribution
The Durmand Priory assigned me to chronicle the refugees' stories. The more I learn, the more I ponder. I mean, why did the dredge and Flame Legion form an alliance? It's odd, but there are obvious benefits.
Talk more option tango.png Yeah, why are they allied?
Well, dredge have a history of being oppressed by dwarves, and the Flame Legion have a history of oppressing...well, everyone. They have other things in common, too, like xenophobia, sexism, and well...evil.
Talk more option tango.png Do you think there's a larger threat forcing them together?
"Enemy of my enemy" and all that? I'm not sure. It's definitely out of character for either of them to reach out to the other, but someone must have orchestrated the alliance. I have no idea who.
Talk more option tango.png Maybe the increased numbers is the reason.
That old rationalization, hm? Together, we're stronger? I have to admit that if our evil enemies are figuring that out as well, I'm nervous. This could change everything.
Talk more option tango.png I've heard rumors of hybrid weapons.
Me, too. The Vigil are reporting that the Flame Legion and the dredge have combined their magic to create new weaponry that's far more powerful and destructive. If you ask me, that's one valuable perk.
Talk end option tango.png Agreed. Thanks for the information.
Talk end option tango.png Good point.
Talk end option tango.png Interesting.
Talk end option tango.png Interesting.
Talk end option tango.png Odd, indeed.
With member of the Durmand Priory
Am I wrong, or is that an intelligent Priory face I recognize? What can I do for you?
Talk more option tango.png Good day, historian. What brings you here? (Starts the normal conversation seen above.)
Talk end option tango.png Nothing at the moment.

During Bazaar of the Four Winds[edit]

The Zephyr Sanctum! I've seen cursory mentions of it in scattered texts, and some scholars didn't even think it was real. I can't believe I'm actually standing on it!
Talk end option tango.png I know how you feel.

During Cutthroat Politics[edit]

Before August 5th
Either Captain Kiel or Captain Gnashblade as a member of the Captain's Council? I can only imagine the impact that would have around here.
Talk end option tango.png Yes, it could.
After August 5th
Amazing! Captain Kiel's the new councillor of Lion's Arch. The Zephyr Sanctum citizens sure seem happy about the treaty as well.
Talk more option tango.png What's next for the new councillor?
Let's see. The councillor will be stationed in Lion's Arch, though I'd expect an appearance at the upcoming Queen's Jubilee in Divinity's Reach. I'm looking forward to that.
Talk end option tango.png Maybe I'll make an appearance. Bye.
Talk end option tango.png Indeed.

During Tower of Nightmares[edit]

This tower and the illusion that hid it from us will go down in history. It's quite remarkable on many levels. I've been studying the krait most of my life, and this is somewhat distressing.
Talk more option tango.png Tell me more.
Once upon a time, the krait were a powerful race. They lived in pillared cities far out in the ocean. This changed not long ago, and the krait moved into shallower waters. Since then, they've kept to themselves.
Talk more option tango.png Go on.
Until now. They seem to be excited at the prospect of regaining their power. This can only mean one thing. They believe that their lost Prophets are finally returning.
Talk more option tango.png Primitive, hm?
Do not underestimate krait intelligence. They're ardent mathematicians and deal in numerology as well as magic. They have priests called oratuss who hold their culture's traditions in their heads.
Talk more option tango.png Go on.
They worship figures they call prophets who gave them the rules by which they live. Though their prophets are long gone, the krait believe they will return.
Talk more option tango.png What's up with these obelisk shards?
According to krait mythology, their obelisks will be the vehicles of their prophet' return. These artifacts are said to be enormous, hidden deep underwater, and pulsing with magical energies.

Talk end option tango.png Thanks for the information.
Talk more option tango.png What about the Nightmare Court?
They're sylvari, awakened from the Pale Tree like all their kind, who've chosen to embrace a darker side of themselves. They're cruel, primarily because they believe the essence of nightmare is as important as dream.
Talk more option tango.png But why are the Nightmare courtiers here?
They're attracted like sharks to blood, I would imagine. Schemers at heart, they look for ways to inflict pain and suffering. This faction doesn't seem to be entire Nightmare Court itself, but rather an offshoot.
Talk more option tango.png Go on.
The Court uses a feudal model for their society. They use noble titles to indicate rank and extent of territory, but not all Nightmare sylvari participate in that social structure. I suspect these courtiers are a fringe group.

During The Nightmares Within[edit]

Anyone who goes inside that thing is braver than I. It's a nest of Nightmare Court on an especially cruel scheme.
Talk more option tango.png Tell me more. (same as "What about the Nightmare Court?" below.)

During Escape from Lion's Arch[edit]

During Battle for Lion's Arch[edit]

For characters who have killed Scarlet
What news? Has anyone made it all the way to Scarlet yet?
Talk more option tango.png I have. She's dead.
Bravo! Did you learn anything from the encounter? Were you on the drill? Did you turn it off?
Talk more option tango.png I'll file a report later.
Good. And, I've been authorized to inform fellow Priory that Scarlet has found not only a ley line but an intersection of several. The amount of power flowing beneath Lion's Arch must be unbelievable.
Talk more option tango.png What do you know of her plans?
We have not yet ascertained her goal. Our early response team is focused entirely on finding a cure or barrier for the miasma. Saving lives is our number one priority.
Talk end option tango.png Completely understandable.
Talk end option tango.png Understood.
For characters who have not killed Scarlet
I'm taking a poll. What's your theory about Scarlet's end goal? I've heard quite a few colorful ones.
Talk more option tango.png I think I'll hold off on saying until I have more information.
Where's the fun in that? Perhaps later, you'll feel comfortable telling me. My peers at the Durmand Priory are collecting a list of possibilities.
Talk end option tango.png Perhaps later.
Talk end option tango.png Perhaps later.

During Festival of the Four Winds[edit]

Big news! The Zephyr Sanctum has returned to assist in the relief efforts for Lion's Arch. I'm glad they're here, but the Zephyrites sure are being tight lipped about their next destination.
Talk more option tango.png Where do you think they're headed?
It could be literally anywhere. I'd hate to miss their next port call. Maybe I can get on board in some semioffical capacity and travel with them...
Talk end option tango.png That would be a fascinating opportunity. Good luck.
Talk end option tango.png I'm just glad they're here now. Lion's Arch needs all the help it can get.
