Dialogue[edit]
- Ho, there! Have you any work for me?
- Perhaps. What is it you do?
- Call me, Kudlin, friend. I'm a logger.
- You're looking for work? What about all the trees around?
- Sure, there's trees aplenty. But I only bury my axe in them for coin. No one around here wants to pay when they can do it for free.
- Tyria is filled with trees. I'm sure you could find someone to hire you.
- I couldn't leave Hoelbrak. It's my home! Where would I go?
- Divinity's Reach, perhaps? Or the Black Citadel.
- They're nothing compared to Hoelbrak. No, as hard as it is here, I couldn't live anywhere else. But thanks for the advice.
- Well, best of luck to you.
- Have you thought of changing professions?
- I wouldn't give up the only thing I know how to do, the only thing I love doing. What would I do to survive?
- What about hunting?
- Takes a lot of work to stalk the prey. When you finally sight it, it runs off. I like trees because they don't run.
- Seems lazy.
- If everyone was a hero, nobody would be heroic. Anyway, even heroes need beds and tables. For that, you need wood.
- What about finding work elsewhere? (Same as 'Tyria is filled with trees. I'm sure you could find someone to hire you.')
- You make me sad. I must leave.
- All right, I guess.
- Would you consider crafting?
- I had given it a thought, but it requires so much attention to detail. I like logging because it's all about the cut. Once you've mastered that, nothing else matters.
- I'm not sure you're right about that either.
- Not sure. Good-bye.
- I see.
- I have no work for you.
- I have nothing to offer you.
