Help destroy the North Realm Portal is a level 80 event that starts in The Ruination and leads into The Ruptured Heart.

These are the expected rewards for a level 80 player.

Walkthrough

Escort Demolitionist Afia to the Northern Maw. When the Demolitionist's health reaches zero, she will be stunned for a long duration, before recovering a portion of his health when she recovers.

Doing the previous event will make this event easier to accomplish. Afia will attack any hostile NPCs she encounters, notably Elite Forged Officers and Forged Cannons. Both can do significant damage and take time to kill, delaying her arrival at the portal. Eliminating them in the previous event will mean facing less and weaker enemies.

Furthermore, though not required in said preceding event, destroying Forged Barricades will allow the demolitionist to get to the portal faster. Not all need be destroyed; only the ones that prevent her from taking the most direct route to the portal. Barricades can be destroyed in both this and the previous event, but doing so when this event is already underway will eat up time.

In order to deploy Portal Spikes to damage the portal, you will need to do the following:

• Kill the following Forged Enemies enemies that appear around the Northern Maw. When killed, they will leave behind Realm Residue.
  • Veteran Realm Builder
  • Veteran Realm Hound
  • Veteran Realm Sharpshooter
  • Veteran Realm Skimmer
• Interact to pick up a Realm Residue. Your character can pick one up at a time, which can be tracked by the  Realm Residue icon the buff bar.
• With the effect active, run to the barrel of Portal Spikes, and interact with it.
• Next, run back to the portal and interact with it when the prompt reads Spike the portal.

Demolitionist Afia: There's no time. I have to leave now if we're going to have a chance to close the portal.

Watcher Akuchi: Demolitionist, I hope you're ready. We need to shut that portal down!

Demolitionist Afia: I've got the spike ready. I just need an escort.

Watcher Akuchi: Good luck. And remember, you never fight alone.

During the escort

Watcher Akuchi: The demolitionist is heading to close the portal at the Maw. Can you help?

Demolitionist Afia: The Forged defenses are weakened. This is our chance. Follow me.

Demolitionist Afia: What's taking the other demolistionists so long? All three portals need to close.

Demolitionist Afia: Cover me. We have to reach the Maw and use this spike.

Elite Forged Officer: The portal will soon activate!

After arriving at the Maw

Demolitionist Afia: Forged are pouring out of the portal. We need to close it!

Demolitionist Afia: We're almost to the Maw. Keep going!

Demolitionist Afia: Form a defensive perimeter while I take care of the portal.

Demolitionist Afia: Don't let anything get close.

Demolitionist Afia: The other portals should've fallen by now. I wonder how the other demolistionists are doing.

When the Realm Keeper spawns

Demolitionist Afia: Finally, we disrupted the portal. That should do it.

Demolitionist Afia: That Forged cannonade is keeping the portal open. Take it down!

Demolitionist Afia: I'm taking heavy damage!

Demolitionist Afia: Get these Forged off me!

Demolitionist Afia: I need healing!

Demolitionist Afia: Help! I don't know how long I can last.

Demolitionist Afia: Rally to my position!

Event success

Demolitionist Afia: Finally, all three portals have fallen. Great work.

Demolitionist Afia: Looks like we've stopped all three portals, at least for now.
