Should be a redirect but is not redirecting, also the talk page appears blank but has content RT | Talk - A joyous wintersday to all 22:09, 22 December 2007 (UTC)

Same thing at Image:User-Logo.png. I can't even save the info on the supposedly blank page. — Eloc 23:46, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
Appears to be fixed for me. How about you Randomtime? — Eloc 08:35, 25 December 2007 (UTC)

Thumbnails

User:Eloc Jcg/Templates/Issues. — Eloc 10:40, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

?action=purge is your friend. poke | talk 11:54, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
huh? PLZ CLICK HERE ^Teo^ 12:50, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
Oh, it said error creating thumbnail before and I was like wtf? — Eloc 22:51, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

Caching issues

They still exist. I'm currently not logged in on :Image:Assassin-tango-icon-200.png without adding ?action=purge. poke | talk 21:49, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

You have the right link or was it deleted? — Eloc 22:51, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
Because of the purge, I was able to delete it. But it was just an example that it still does not work. poke | talk 22:54, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
Oh, ok. — Eloc 22:54, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

purge issues

I try purging Image talk:User Eloc Jcg Marijuana.jpg, it works, but when I go back to that page, it no longer works. What's up with that? — Eloc 00:11, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

It works for me, but I've had similar things occur in the past. They usually fix themselves after a day or two. Lord Belar 22:04, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

What is this User Page problem

If anyone goes to my userpage (My Userpage), then all the text in the nav bar on the left gets mega small. Also, there's a huge red box under my navi bar at the top. Why?! Xerir 19:36, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

Fixed it, this normally happens when there is a coding error like a missing opening or closing tag or when you add content there where no content is allowed - in your case between a <table> opening and the first <td>. poke | talk 22:08, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
Thanks much. Cant wait till GW2 comes out. Xerir 14:55, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

Image namespace caching issues

It seems the caching system is misconfigured to include anything in the Image namespace. Not only images as it is on GWW, but also pages. Whenever I visit File:Dragon 01 concept art (Destroyer Dragon).jpg I get "No file by this name exists, you can upload it.", even though I just uploaded it and it displays as uploaded on the recent changes list. Also, when I visited File:Dragon 01 concept art (Destroyer Dragon).jpg, I didn't even appear to be logged in (most likely cause someone else had visited the page before me and wasn't logged in), and my comment on that talk page didn't appear until 10-15 mins after I wrote it no matter how many times I cleared my local cache. — Galil Talk page 14:39, 27 February 2008 (UTC)

Erm, yeah. Like in the other cases on this page a purge fixed it. Though IMO, we shouldn't have to purge cache after each and every edit, so I'll still refer to it as misconfigured cache system. Especially since it also affected my user links in the top right. — Galil Talk page 14:43, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
Actually, I take that back. It didn't fix a thing. If you visit the page with ?action=purge it shows up the right way, but as soon as you remove the ?action=purge from the URL again it goes back to the wrong version (cleared local cache in between). — Galil Talk page 14:51, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
Template:Screenshot and Template:GW1 image don't seem to be adding the template boxes either, I think this may be related. -- Gordon Ecker 02:39, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

?

User 71.229 what the shit.jpg Happens every time I go here. If I click anywhere else, except for My Contributions, My Talk, and Plliinngggggg, it reverts the bar to mine, but if I click those three it takes me to Pling's instead. Clearing my cache does nothing. --71.229 22:15, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

this have happened to me before, i became people of antioch lol --Cursed Angel talk 22:29, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
Hey. It was a story about a female soldier who looks almost exactly like River Tam who killed a married soldier couple, disposed of their bodies in a bathtub of acid, and kidnapped their baby. But most importantly, she looks almost exactly like River Tam. --71.229 22:43, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
Only fox would report something like that. Lord Belar 22:52, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
Also,
Murphy said investigators had found a Home Depot receipt for the acid, a pistol and Randi Miller's purse in a search of the barracks.
Epic fail. --71.229 22:54, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
Great... I show up as CA. :( Lord Belar 23:09, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
This should be fixed up, so I am going to archive this. --UserEmilyDiehlStar.gif Emily Diehl (talk) 00:42, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

Caching issues

Things are still quite slow to update on some pages; User talk:Shadowphoenix/monobook.js is an example. The latest comment doesn't appear, but can be seen through the diff. Also, I become "logged in" as the last user to respond, in this case Calor. It does update, but it takes a while. It still happens with images too. --User Pling sig.png pling | ggggg 03:27, 14 April 2008 (UTC)

Thanks Pliiiinng, er, Brains. I'll pass this along ;) --UserEmilyDiehlStar.gif Emily Diehl (talk) 22:29, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
And again (or still). On Image:User indochine dsk tree.png, I'm logged in as User:Indochine. And there seems to be a session loss sometimes when editing pages. I had to press save 4 times, before it was finally saved. poke | talk 16:13, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
I have the same problem with that recently uploaded image; I get a "No file by this name exists, you can upload it. " as well. --User Pling sig.png pling | ggggg 16:17, 12 May 2008 (UTC)

Ancient Dragons

When I right-click on the picture of Grothmar and open it in a new window, the new window shows that I'm logged in as User:BigBlue and the language is different. If I click a link, it changes back to me, though. ¬ Wizårdbõÿ777(talk) 13:17, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

Thanks, Wizard. I'll pass that along. --UserEmilyDiehlStar.gif Emily Diehl (talk) 22:29, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
It tells me I'm logged out, but when I click on a link everything's fine again. This is when I open it in a new tab, new window or just the same window/tab. -- Mini Me talk 22:31, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

Watchlist issues

When I login and click on my watchlist, it just logs me out. I got cookies enabled, and have no troubles doing that on Guild Wars Wiki, but for some reason it doesn't work for me here.

And now just trying to click Save page, it says "Sorry! We could not process your edit due to a loss of session data. Please try again. If it still doesn't work, try logging out and logging back in." Took about 4 times of logging in/out for this to finally work. — Eloc 01:43, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

Loss of session data

Like, I keep getting this message when trying to edit things: "Sorry! We could not process your edit due to a loss of session data. Please try again. If it still doesn't work, try logging out and logging back in." It's really annoying, and I can only edit ONCE when I log back in. 145.53.14.162 16:19, 13 May 2008 (UTC) Mini Me

Actually, I can't edit at all now at times, not even when I'm logged in.
Another session loss problem is that it seems as if new message are marked as unread whenever a new session starts. poke | talk 21:52, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
Same (Happened when editing this line.) UserDrago-sig.gif Drago 01:16, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
Ya, happens to me constantly. — Eloc 16:03, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

Login Problems

I've been able to log in just fine over the last few days, but after editing even one page I seem to revert back to my IP, forcing me to log in again. its especially bad here, reverting me to my IP right after I log in. Is anyone else getting this? --Wandering Traveler

I am...whoah, wtf. I clicked save page as an IP and it logged me back in and said the session data error message...and now it just logged me off when I clicked save page again. 64.178.154.131 (Eloc not logged in because of this bug)
Doesn't affect me. Calor Talk 18:55, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
That's cause you cheat. — Eloc 00:02, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
Hiya guys! This issue, along with the log in one above, should be resolved. If you see any other oddities, let me know so I can pass them along. Thanks a bunch! --UserEmilyDiehlStar.gif Emily Diehl (talk) 20:59, 22 May 2008 (UTC)

Image redirects

Are not working. Cress Arvein User Cress Arvein sig.JPG 21:24, 16 August 2008 (UTC)

I'm having all around issues with images. I tried uploading one for my sig, and it took a few tries. Now when I redirected it, it goes to the image page, even though it says it has a redirect. Pony User talk:Pony Slaystation X 03:48, 24 August 2009 (UTC)
Your problems with uploading images has to do with caching issues, a perennial problem on this wiki. As for the image redirects, those have yet to work. Hopefully they'll be fixed at some point in the future. For now, it's probably best not to worry about it. Belar 03:56, 24 August 2009 (UTC)
I've notified Emily about the redirect problem, and I think they're aiming to fix that (as well as a few other things) soon. --User Pling sig.png Pling \ talk 15:51, 24 August 2009 (UTC)
I suppose it's going to happen with the 1.15 update. poke | talk 21:21, 24 August 2009 (UTC)

A lot of random things....

It seems that the problem of logging in and then somehow getting logged out forcibly is happening again. And I can't seem to get rid of the "You have new messages" thing on my userpage....I have no new messages, it shows nowhere else, and yet....its there. o.O. Bot edits

Recent changes + my watchlist have some edits by anonymous users, as well as edits by User:Plingggggg, marked with 'b's (as bot edits). This is not right. ¬ Wizårdbõÿ777(talk) 06:29, 4 October 2008 (UTC)

It's right, see http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:Administrators#Rollback :P --User Pling sig.png Pling \ talk 15:51, 4 October 2008 (UTC)
Well, that's handy. Didn't know you could do that, so having you show up on my watchlist as a bot was kinda confusing :P ¬ Wizårdbõÿ777(talk) 18:18, 4 October 2008 (UTC)

wiki redirects to the Gwildwars.com site

sorry i know this is the wrong place but maybe it will get to the right people, i was looking at the elite skill list on the guild wars 1 wiki and clicked ritualist, and the link brought me to the www.guildwars.com/networknews page. Shut my computer down completly and restarted it and now when i type in www.wiki.guildswars.com it sends me to the newtwork news page everytime. Whats up with that? 64.39.144.227 19:45, 3 November 2009 (UTC)

Nevermind it was either a very wierd browser issue or somthing, anyways its working again but would love to know if anyone else had that issue...crazy man just crazy 64.39.144.227 19:49, 3 November 2009 (UTC)
The Guild Wars Wiki had some downtime (due to technical problems being fixed), so the ArenaNet tech guys redirected the wiki to the main website's network news page, which usually has information about planned downtime. However, this particular downtime was unforseen and unplanned, so they probably didn't have time to put up an explanation on the page before redirecting people to it.
In short, you have nothing to worry about - things are working as they should be :). -- pling User Pling sig.png 20:31, 3 November 2009 (UTC)
Yes, sorry about that guys! We ran into an issue when we were installing support for vector graphics, but all of that is resolved now. Thanks for your patience :) --UserEmilyDiehlStar.gif Emily Diehl (talk) 21:05, 3 November 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for the info. Atleast my computer is not ghost infested... 216.212.226.52 21:14, 3 November 2009 (UTC)

-moz-border-radius

'-moz-border-radius' seems to no longer work. Not a big deal I suppose, but it is messing with some peoples user pages. Mat Cauthorn, The Botanist 16:09, 27 January 2010 (UTC)

It works fine for me - User:Y0 ich halt, for example, still has rounded corners. -- pling User Pling sig.png 16:50, 27 January 2010 (UTC)
I'm still not seeing it. Maybe IE doesn't support it. If you look at User:Naut, you'll see in one of his changes he commented about how his page is broken again. I'll have to check on Firefox when I get home. Mat Cauthorn, The Botanist 17:28, 27 January 2010 (UTC)
The "moz" part, I believe, is short for "mozilla" - in other words, it won't work in IE. -- pling User Pling sig.png 17:53, 27 January 2010 (UTC)
Ah, gotcha. Thanks :) Mat Cauthorn, The Botanist 21:14, 27 January 2010 (UTC)

Reference glitch?

I somehow can't find the reason why the reference does not work [1], while it does work when placing it elsewhere [2]. This problem also occurs at the other element attunement skills. While with other random pages it doesn't seem to be a problem? What's the secret!? ge4ce 17:47, 9 July 2010 (UTC)

File talk:Professions reveal 5.jpg

For some odd reason, when I opened up that page, the top right area said I was someone else, (forgot his name, starts with an N). Is this happening to anyone else? It also logged me off the first time i left the page. Vald [Citation Needed] User Valdimir newsigicon.png 17:19, 13 July 2010 (UTC)

This is already everywhere in the archive. Emily said it was fixed though. I guess we have to reopen the case. Chriskang 20:22, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
