Gertrude
Gertrude is Minister Merula's servant. In 1328 AE she and Minister Merula joined a group of nobles aboard Faren's Flyer following the Pact fleet into the Heart of Maguuma. The fleet was destroyed by Mordremoth and Faren's Flyer crashlanded in Noble Ledges in Verdant Brink. After a series of events a Pact chopper came to save the nobles and Minister Merula promptly ordered Gertrude to load it with her luggage. The luggage left no room for the nobles and Gertrude took the chance and abandoned them. The chopper joined with others and headed deeper into the Heart of Maguuma where they were attacked again and crashlanded in SCAR Bivouac. Gertrude has joined with the SCAR team defending their camp.

Dialogue[edit]
- During Securing Verdant Brink
- By the Six Gods, this luggage is heavy. I'll never understand why Minister Merula needs so many shoes.
- Have you always worked for Minister Merula?
- I served her mother first and began tending Merula when she was a baby.
- May I ask another question?
- Nice to meet you. Good-bye.
- Do you enjoy working for Minister Merula?
- Enjoy? Goodness, no. But the pay is good, and I have family to feed.
- May I ask another question?
- Thank you for talking to me. Good-bye.
- Thank you for your time. Good-bye.
- During Night and the Enemy
- Sometimes I think about striking out into the jungle on my own. The company of the Mordrem can't be worse than being stuck here with these people.
- Don't do anything foolhardy. This is a dangerous place.
- In SCAR Bivouac
- Even wrecked in a jungle swarming with killer insects, I'm still better off with this crew than waiting on my so-called "noble" masters.
- How did a servant to nobles end up stranded out here with soldiers?
- I saw my chance to get away from those buffoons, and I took it. It turned out our chopper was headed into enemy territory, but still regret nothing.
- I like your attitude. Good luck.
