Duchess Chrysanthea is a high-ranking member of the Nightmare Court. She aids the Pact in the battle against the Mouth of Mordremoth in Dragon's Stand.
Biography[edit]
Early years[edit]
At some point, Chrysanthea joined the Nightmare Court and attained the high rank of duchess. After Grand Duchess Faolain had fled from Twilight Arbor and many of her high-ranking courtiers had been slain by the Pact Commander and adventurers in 1325 AE, Chrysanthea and her followers began considering if Tyrians would eventually hunt the court down, and if the court, or at least Chrysanthea's liberal faction within it, should choose another path someday in the future.[1]
Heart of Thorns[edit]
In 1328 AE, Chrysanthea had traveled to the Heart of Maguuma along with several other courtiers, including Faolain. Upon learning that the Elder Dragon Mordremoth had been the creator of sylvari and was threatening to expand from the jungle to the rest of Tyria, the duchess chose to join forces with the Pact and their new jungle allies to take the fight to the Elder Dragon in Dragon's Stand. After Mordremoth had been defeated, Chrysanthea appeared with the others to celebrate the victory. While chatting with the Commander, the duchess expressed hope that the pair could team up in the future again.

Trivia[edit]
- Chrysanthea is voiced by Debi Derryberry.
- Her name is a reference to Chrysanthemum flowers.
- Currently, she is the only known Duchess (Faolain was higher ranked as a Grand Duchess) of the Nightmare Court.
- She wields a Warden Staff.
- During April Fools' Day 2023, her name was misspelt as Duchess "Crysanthea".
