Dialogue[edit]
- Hi, yes, I... Oh, leave me be, stranger. I've done terrible things. So many terrible things. To those...to those I held most dear...
- Yes...that is helpful to think about. I'll try to keep it in mind.
- Be well.
The Brand had already taken them. You gave them peace. Don't forget that.
- The effort's appreciated, but perhaps you should try and "cheer up" someone else.
- Sorry about that.
Eh. Terrible's relative. You should see what I get up to from time to time.
- The effort's appreciated, but perhaps you should try and "cheer up" someone else.
- Sorry about that.
True. But they're Branded, so how terrible could those things be, really?
- The effort's appreciated, but perhaps you should try and "cheer up" someone else.
- Sorry about that.
Try not to worry too much about it. Everybody dies eventually.
- I'm sorry, I...I'm a bit scattered at the moment, I just lost my best friend to the Brand. Had to... had to kill him with my own hands
- That's... that's some comfort. Thank you, stranger.
- Hang in there.
And if he were here now, he would thank you. You did the right thing.
- You're, uh...you're worse at inspiring hope than I had heard, Commander.
- Sorry about that.
There are worse ways to die. Hands aren't as sharp as, say, swords
- You're, uh...you're worse at inspiring hope than I had heard, Commander.
- Sorry about that.
Better him than you, though, right? At least you're still here
- You're, uh...you're worse at inspiring hope than I had heard, Commander.
- Sorry about that.
Yikes. So... pretty rough day, then?
- How can I go on, having done what I've done? To my own people? Brand or no, they're my people, and...I just...
- Your bedside manner leaves much to be desired, stranger.
- I'll work on that.
You can start by picking yourself up and getting to work.
- Your bedside manner leaves much to be desired, stranger.
- I'll work on that.
Hey. C'mon. Can't be all that bad, right? Turn that frown upside down.
- Your bedside manner leaves much to be desired, stranger.
- I'll work on that.
They stopped being your people the moment they were Branded.
- Yes...yes, I suppose I will. I suppose I have to. Thank you, stranger.
- We all do. Take care.
You'll go on knowing you did all that you could. For your people.
- Talking again to an uplifted dredge
- Thanks for talking with me. Really helped me put things in perspective.
- My pleasure.
- Talking again to a discouraged dredge
- Ugh, you again? Not right now, please.
- I'll come back in a bit and check up on you.
