Damaged Airship Compasses are used in the creation of the Wondrous Compass for the Astralaria III: The Mechanism collection.
Acquisition[edit]
Found inside the wreckage of the airship crashed in Mossheart Walk in Auric Basin. You receive it by interacting with a pile of scrap next to a cylinder in the north end of the balloon. The easiest way to find it is to climb the hill right next to the Exalted Pylon near Endurance Crash Site (the pylon does not necessarily have to be active for the bridge leading to it to exist but it may make it easier), then glide through a rip in the balloon and immediately turn right. The pile of scrap is has no name, but can be interacted with.
One way of getting to the pylon without the bridge being active is to take the mushrooms in the valley, and repeatedly press spacebar until you begin gliding at the zenith of the higher bounce. Immediately lean glide towards the pylon platform. If you have aimed and timed correctly, you will reach the top of the platform and can continue on to the hill.
