I'm ashamed to admit that I'm afraid to go in the water, but it's really no safer now on land.

What are you afraid of?

These used to be safe hunting and fishing grounds for the hylek. But the krait have been taking over these areas. We only want to hunt for food, but the krait seem only to hunt for hylek.

Then why not fight back?

The krait are faster than us are[sic] on both land and water. The only reason we don't leave these areas is that to do so would mean starvation. So the only choice we have is how we choose to die.
