Category talk:Non-playable races
About this category[edit]
This category strikes me as a bit weird. Firstly, the wording of the lead text seems to suggest that we're expecting anyone of these "races" to be announced as playable any day now. Secondly, what does race mean anyway? - is it restricted to some notion of sentience or generally understood but poorly defined inherent playability (which I don't think a Golem would meet) or is this category better named as creatures (or similar)? Finally, I don't much see the point of categories at this early stage. Ultimately I'd like to delete the page, but want to see if anyone else sees value in keeping it. --Aspectacle 22:11, 25 February 2008 (UTC)

Every race that isn't in Category:Playable races will be in this one. There is no need for this category as people will only be looking for the playable races category (or the article) when finding out about or sorting playable races. In my opinion, this category is redundant. --
