Burrowing Chicken
Burrowing Chickens are birds hidden inside a wall above Prosperity Mine, and in some Heart of Thorns maps.
Location[edit]
- Dry Top
- Prospect Valley
- Prosperity Mine - Starting at Town of Prosperity, head up towards the tavern. Drop down to the sky crystal by the quicksand river, and run to the sun crystal to replenish the time left. You will be facing the wall - use the sky crystal to leap up to the top in quick succession.

- Tangled Depths
- SCAR Bivouac - Starting from SCAR Camp Waypoint, head to the vista near the Vine Wall. Glide from the vista to a plateau to the south-west. If you don't have the Lean Techniques mastery, you must aim at a tiny ledge as the distance is very tight. Jump up, and there will be some tropical birds to scare away. Travel along the edge and you will see the chickens in the wall. You can use a leap or similar to get to the other ledge.
- Verdant Brink (Abyss)
- Thistlevine Ravine - On a ledge southwest of the Shaded Spring.
- Auric Basin
- Bristleback Chasm - On a ledge south of the Eastgate, higher than the Vista.
- Eastgate - South of Eastgate, inside Tarir. Jump from the gate as if going towards the vista or the arches, but instead glide south. Two chicken are hidden just in the southerner corner of the city, at mid-height.
Trivia[edit]
- Most likely this is an Easter egg left by the developers: originally the chickens in the wall above Prosperity Mine were ordinary Chickens stuck inside the wall due to a development mistake or bug, but instead of being fixed or removed, they appear to have been renamed as a joke. The Burrowing Chickens in the Heart of Thorns maps would appear to be deliberately inserted into the map in reference to the ones in Dry Top.
