Dialogue[edit]
- All I want to do is study their runestones, but this tribe is using them as currency! I would gladly trade with them, but they're terrible at it.
- What can I do to help?
- Help me trade for jotun runestones. They'll trade the stones for anything they think is valuable. Food, supplies, building materials, and so on.
- Any tips?
- It seems they mostly want the things that the other jotun have. But they're so poor at negotiating that they won't trade directly with each other anymore.
- So...?
- You could act as a middle man. Buy supplies from one, and see if you can get more from another.
- Good idea
- Ah, I see.
- Why do you want these runestones?
- There are many ancient jotun texts that we can't decipher because their race has forgotten how to read their own language. The inscriptions on these runestones show a lot of promise.'
- I see. That makes sense.
- I'll do that.
- These jotuns are ... friendly?
- They're desperate. The tribe is having trouble with these winter storms. They've taken to trading with merchants visiting Twinspur Haven to survive.
- I see.
- I've got some runestones here.
- Are you sure you want to give them all to me right now? You can use them to make more trades.
- Yes, just take them all, please.
- Take ten.
- Take five.
- Thank you very much. This will help me quite a bit.
- Sure, no problem.
- On second thought, I'll hold onto them for a bit.
- Good-bye.
- This dialogue branch is only available once players have collected a good amount of runestones.
- Oh my, you have so many runestones. Many more than I could have imagined. This will surely be enough for me.
- Please, take them.
- Thank you very much. This will help me quite a bit.
- Sure, no problem.
- I'm going to hang onto them.
- You were a big help. Here, have a look at some of the things that I've gained from trading with the jotun.
- Let's see what you have.
- Maybe later.
