i know. and ya, it does look relatively nice. but the voting system is just trash. it's better than the very first on guildwiki, but it's still by no means good. and many sysops and bms just look at builds, decide whether they like it or not, and then delete/add votes so it gets the category they want it in. and if anyone ever tries to make them realize the build is actually better than their beloved meta, they just keep stuck to their opinion and turn away with some comment like "no." - Y0_ich_halt 18:59, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

Userpage

I hope you don't mind, I copied some of your formatting for my userpage. I put your name at the very bottom of the page. If you can't find it, it means I probably made it too teeny tiny for anybody to read ;). Thanks for showing your formatting instead of just hiding it in some obscure template. I usually go to the Mediawiki or Wikipedia guides when I need to figure out how to do something, but I couldn't find any on this type of formatting. I changed it up a bit since I don't have a bunch of pages, templates, or characters yet. Also, I can't seem to get the top of the User Infobox aligned with the other cells. Is anyone still watching my talk page? As to class overview, don't ask me, I'm still the perennial nub. Us nubs still start out with warriors, cos they cause ouch and don't fall down too easy.

Yay, there are people so bad at keeping their watchlist tidy (or too lazy) to still watch my talk even after probably 3 years! :D If you reply to this again, it counts as a conversation. That's a shame, I could do with talking to some non-nubs. Back in GW2 trial times I started a guardian, expecting something along the lines of a monk, was messed around by "wtf is dis shit" and ended up never playing guardian again to this day. Elementalist has proven quite fun until now though :D What part of the world are you in? (in view of time zones permitting playing together some time) - Y0_ich_halt 10:07, 27 April 2014 (UTC)

I've found that squishies are a pain to play in the early game. It may just be me, but they seem to be extremely fragile until they hit 60 or so, then things suddenly get better. It must just be me - I can't think of any actual, mechanical reason why that would be true. If you glance at my user page, you'll see that I actually have 8 characters; seven of which have hit level 80, the final one (Mesmer) is at 50 and counting.

This game really doesn't suit repetition. It feels like when you took your nth character through pre-searing - it's all so familiar and something you really don't feel like going through yet again. Do a chapter of your personal story, then complete a zone or two to get the two levels necessary until you're capable to attempt the next chapter. Repeat ad nauseum.

I'm still English, so I'm currently on UCT+1. I'm also a shift worker, so the times I'm on are totally random. I just had about a year break from GW2 due to burnout, but seeing how PS4 and XBone turned into non-events, I'm back. For a while, at least.

I can't tell you anything more about squishies as it's the only thing I've played and yes, I'm squishy. I completely know what you mean though, currently I haven't had enough play time in GW2, everything is still new and I'm not repeating any content, but I can see that changing as soon as my second character finishes the personal story bit. I've been told that levelling is a lot faster in WvW and my limited experience has confirmed that, but I usually don't get much time to go into WvW as I like to finish the Monthly that I'm on when I get back home for holidays and can play again (which most often I do with PvE bits). That's practical as I study in London, and when I'm home for holiday I'm on UTC+2 (Germany), so at least we don't have much time zone conflict and the opportunity to play together should be there some time. I'll drop you a shout when I'm home next, which will in all likelihood be late-ish July.
