Letter from Wayfinder Aziure

Foreword

This journal is preserved as part of Isgarren's collection of written relics. These documents display the thoughts of a significant figure in Tyria's history, whether they interacted with the court or not. Aziure was one of the most practiced of those bestowed with the title of "wayfinder" and fought alongside the Order to protect the secrets of the Astral Ward during the Century of Prophecy.

Isgarren,

I apologize for Verata's...extreme measures. He learned of our interactions following his expulsion from the Order, and I think jealousy is perhaps his most salient emotion. There was a time when I'd argue that he meant well, but I imagine his lust to learn the secrets of your tower got the better of him and his darling occultists. He never had the chance to walk through the Beacon of Ages before... Days long past, I believe. Ardaric is keeping a close eye on his camp in the meantime, in case the fellow gets any more...wise inklings. With Khilbron gone, Verata is quite bored. But that's a situation for us to handle. I imagine you've been quite busy since Komalie was sealed.

With our mutual nightmare slain—or at the very least expelled from this plane of existence—Ascalon finally seems to be experiencing a moment of reprieve. Though, it is likely quite brief... The situation with the charr continues to burn, and our struggles are hardly diminished. I'm sure the ward's may also escalate depending on what comes of these events, but I wanted to thank you nonetheless.

You have been an unlikely dawn after many long, dark nights. Even though the Chosen carried the torch to the brazier, having allies in this frightening, rapidly changing world will at least cushion the fall. Should you need our aid, the Order will fight with you again. Had you not pulled me from the flames that day... Well, I promise you that I'll never evoke the "wizard's folly" in anything but jest. Your secrets are safe. I just hope that I get to see the Beacon of Ages again. I miss it. I miss everything about the meadow. It's not the same.
